MORPHEUS 8

PROGRAMMABLE, FRACTIONAL RF TECHNOLOGY WORKING AT THE SUB-DERMAL LEVEL

Morpheus 8 is a programmable, fractional RF technology that works at the subdermal level.

The use of RF technologies in aesthetic medicine began in the 90s and the technique has proven its effectiveness and safety.  The operating principle of radio frequency technologies is based on the controlled heating of tissues using an alternating electric current of a high frequency in the radio frequency range.

We have an alternative type of RF exposure in the modern aesthetic world  - fractional microneedle RF technology.  In contrast to the surface arrangement of electrodes in classical RF devices, the needle electrodes of the fractional RF handpiece are inserted directly into the skin.  Thus, it is possible to remove the "restriction" associated with the stratum corneum (top layer of skin) and warm up the deep tissues more intensively, without fear of burns.  As a result, the temperature of the dermal structures adjacent to the needle electrodes can reach 60-80 o C (coagulation), in contrast to 43-45 o C with non-invasive exposure.  The more intense the heating, the more pronounced the response in the form of dermal remodeling.  In this case, heat also spreads to adjacent (including deeper) tissue areas.

 Technology

Elevated temperature stimulates the work of fibroblasts, so they begin to divide and actively synthesize such important components of the intercellular matrix of the dermis as collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans.  In addition, heating of connective tissue structures to a temperature above 65 o C causes contraction of collagen fibers and an instant lifting effect.  Since there are no specific chromophores for the energy of the RF current, it can be used to treat skin of any phototype.  This principle is implemented in the "bestseller" of needle RF - Fractora and Morpheus .  Morpheus8 has the greatest depth of impact of all fractional technologies approved by the FDA.

 Technical features:

  • 24 sharp polymer-coated needles
  • Each needle is surrounded by a return electrode, which ensures uniform heating in the treatment area
  • Automatic synchronization between penetrations  of needles and RF energy
  • Different penetration depths for the same tip-1-7 mm
  • Strictly Disposable, sterile handpieces for hygiene purposes

 Advantages

 Triple Action:

  • Coagulation of adipose tissue
  • Connective tissue contraction
  • Subnecrotic heating of the skin
  • Minor thermal damage to the epidermis or even its complete absence
  • Safe for phototype VI skin, very low risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation comparable to other traumatic procedures

Morpheus8 represents true state- of-the-art technology and provides practices with ‘maximum results, minimal downtime’ procedures. Practitioners have the versatility to treat both small and large areas of concern with one platform, providing patients with customised solutions to remodel collagen and subdermal adipose tissue.

Areas can be treated?

Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from resurfacing and subdermal renewal. The most commonly treated areas include the face, periorbital area, abdomen, thighs, legs, and buttocks.
